There is no greater pain than the loss of a child, though she may have been no more than a heartseed pod inside a womb, loss is loss, and it is never forgotten. For the dream of Sophia. . . . more

Describe Yourself:A fairy tale gone all wonderfully wrong.
LittleRedHoodie who shook it out of goofy tales with BigBadWoofie to shake it at the RazzleDazzle with Cinders(who has finally realized that Nikes are much more comfy than stupid glass shoes) and SoNotWhite (who skipped out on the height challenged men and went to school for her MBA in gender studies). -
On Gather, I'm Looking For ...:Readers who appreciate grammatical twists and eclectic linguistic dinners served up with syntax screams of joy and verbal shimmies!
Real humans with the capacity for bone brutal honesty!
No prevaricators, no nonsense coy silliness or banal flirty shines.

Funny story~
This weekend I sat outside on my porch swing to start reading your book. My daughter was outside in the sprinkler & butterflies were flitting around as she ran through & laughed. What a beautiful day...
As I opened the book, my dog began to bark as the neighborhood children joined Madi in the sprinkler. The phone rang, my dog barked, the kids started fighting, my husband came home and needed my attention ASAP. (This whole time I am reminding myself how enjoyable it will be to read your wonderful work and relax.)
I had to laugh as I thought to myself, "I just want to read a f******beautiful book of poetry and I am gonna kill someone if I can't have a moment." How ironic =]
Anyway, I did get to read it & I was happy to be familiar with a couple of the poems already. I can't wait for your new book!
Have a great weekend & I'll try to have a more PEACEFUL one!
xoxo Kelly

Good Morning!
I took a test yesterday for work - it was 5 hours long but I passed it with flying colors. I've been buried with studying. Can't wait till Wednesday!

Very well put Selene. We "do" the pain, hope/pray for less, get past it, get stronger, grow up, and learn it may not have been pain at all, at least some of it, but projections from earlier experiences. I call it, growing up, and changing one's fate. Great writing you do. Please keep up the wonderful work.
